South of the Côte de Beaune, the prestigious climate of Morgeot gives birth to one of the most emblematic wines of Maison Joseph Drouhin: the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru “Marquis de Laguiche”. This great Chardonnay seduces with an expressive nose of white flowers, ripe pear, and toast, with a subtle hint of hazelnut. On the palate, it combines richness and integrity, with generous body, beautiful mineral tension, and a persistent, elegantly woody finish. The carefully controlled oak barrel aging brings complexity and depth without masking the purity of the fruit. Ideal with refined dishes such as sea bass in a salt crust, lobster in cream sauce, or roasted poultry with chanterelles.
