Domaine Faiveley’s Gevrey-Chambertin “Vieilles Vignes” comes from selected plots in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, planted with Pinot Noirs that are several decades old. These old vines, deeply rooted in the clay-limestone soils, produce concentrated grapes that give the wine intensity, complexity, and depth.
The nose reveals aromas of ripe black fruits, licorice, and undergrowth, with a slightly smoky touch. On the palate, the attack is full-bodied, the structure solid, and the tannins fine and well-integrated. This is an elegant wine, made for aging, ideal with game, roast meats, or dishes in sauce.
Since 1825, the Faiveley family has been firmly established in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the heart of Burgundy’s wine region. For seven generations, they have built and developed an estate that has become one of the most respected in the region, combining tradition, precision, and high standards. Every day, this ordinary family, with a sometimes extraordinary journey, ensures the sustainability and excellence of its vineyards.
Domaine Faiveley now spans some of Burgundy’s most prestigious appellations, from north to south, with a deep commitment to quality and respect for the terroir. Through its wines, the House embodies a vision of Burgundy that is true to its roots while resolutely looking to the future.
