Description Estate Additional information

The sweetness and freshness of this 2017 Rosé are the result of this “infusion,” which concentrated the best of Cumières Pinot Noir.

Immediate bouquet of wild berries (strawberries and wild raspberries) and citrus (blood orange) with some tangy, powdery notes reminiscent of petals (rose macaroon). Upon aeration, the citrus gives way to iodine and chocolate nuances with hints of spice and resin (cedar). The palate is caressing, delicious, full of delicacy and elegance. A silky texture gently evaporates to reveal a cloud of delicate and slightly spicy aromas. The fruitiness is concentrated in the mid-palate, almost liqueur-like, and energized by the fresh, iodine flavors. On the finish, the very indulgent chocolate nuances combine with the freshness of limestone to create a long, pure, and saline impression.

The year of all dangers… an exceptionally warm and dry winter and spring marked by intense frosts from April 17 to 29, which recorded the sad record of 12 nights of frost. Then a gloomy, humid and not particularly warm summer, which ended with an almost tropical (humid and hot) end of August, favoring a significant progression of gray mold on the Pinot Noirs and Meuniers in full maturation. In the end, an accelerated, ultra-fast harvest, combined with demanding, precise and methodical selection work, unprecedented for our House.

Founded in 1776 in Reims, Maison Louis Roederer is one of the last great Champagne houses to remain family-owned and independent. It owes its name and its growth to Louis Roederer, who, in the 19th century, developed a unique vision: to control the entire production process, from the vineyard to the blend.

A pioneer, he invested in the finest vintages, laying the foundations for a unique and refined style, based on the quality of the grapes. Today, the house cultivates more than 240 hectares, exclusively producing Premiers and Grands Crus, spread across the finest terroirs of Champagne.

Louis Roederer is a pioneer in sustainable and biodynamic viticulture, an approach that respects natural balances and enhances the expression of the terroir. This work in the vineyard is reflected in each cuvée: precision, purity, and elegance.

Among its iconic champagnes, the Collection, a contemporary expression of non-vintage brut, and of course the legendary Cristal, created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II, a symbol of excellence and prestige.

The House embodies discreet and enlightened luxury, combining heritage, innovation, and responsibility. Recognized worldwide, it is regularly praised for the consistency and depth of its style.

Louis Roederer represents the art of champagne taken to its highest level, with a quest for harmony between man, wine, and nature.
