A supple Pinot Noir with a light ruby color and a nose of cherry, raspberry, and dried rose. On the palate, the tannins are fine, the fruit is pure, and the overall effect remains fresh and digestible. This is a light but structured wine, perfect for pairing with poultry, white meats, or vegetarian dishes. Serve slightly chilled. Available now, but can evolve over 2 to 4 years. An elegant Loire red, faithful to its terroir.
Located in Verdigny, in the heart of the Sancerre appellation, Domaine Daulny is a family estate passed down through several generations. Today, François Daulny oversees the estate’s 16 hectares, spread across some twenty plots with varied soils (flint, limestone, white earth). This diversity of terroirs allows for the production of precise, expressive, and typically Sancerre wines. The work in the vineyard is reasoned and meticulous, with a deep respect for nature and tradition. In the cellar, winemaking combines classic and modern expertise to reveal the purity of Sauvignon Blanc and the elegance of Pinot Noir. The estate’s wines are straightforward, fresh, accessible, and very consistent. A sure bet for those seeking an authentic and sincere Sancerre.
